Primary Varus Case:

• 76-year-old female with worsening pain to her left knee over the last 5 years
  • Pain intensifying over the last year
  • Limping, quality of life diminishing
• PMHx: Controlled DM, HTN, Hypothyroidism
• ROM 8-105 degrees with pain
• Antalgic gait
• Injections, NSAID and activity modification attempted

Intraoperatively 

• Intraoperatively significant medial bone loss - 8mm resection off medial side

• 10mm tibial cut off of lateral side

• Standard instrument

• Hybrid measured resection and gap balanced method

• No intraoperative complications

Significant DJD in all 3 compartments

Implantation of LinkSymphoKnee using:

• LinkSymphoKnee CR femoral and tibial components

Clinical Outcome:

• Posterior condylar offset restored

• Joint line maintained

• Tracking excellent

• Neutral mechanical axis

• Patient very happy at 1 year Follow Up

• 1-year follow-up

• No pain, ROM 0-120 degrees
